Red eyes make you look tired and worn out. Carry a bottle of eye drops in your purse and reapply as needed throughout the day. At home, keep a bottle of eye drops in the refrigerator to refresh your eyes when you get home from a day in a dry, air conditioned office.

Select a curling iron, one size smaller than the curls you desire. This will help to ensure that your curls don’t get limp or fall out after you put all the work into curling them. They will be a little tight at first but after you finish, gently run your fingers through them to break them up, and then hair spray to perfection.

Before putting on your favorite sandals for the summer season, take the time to moisturize your feet using Vaseline. Before bed, slather your feet with a thick layer of Vaseline and cover them with an old pair of socks. As you sleep, the Vaseline will penetrate thick, calloused skin, helping to eliminate cracks and dryness. The next morning when you remove the socks, your feet will be soft and supple so you can wear your favorite sandals with pride.

To deal with greasy or oily hair, shampoo every other day and just rinse with water on the other days. Sometimes people with oily hair try to combat the problem by over using shampoo. This removes to much oil from hair, which makes the sebaceous glands overcompensate to replace it.

Take care not to over tweeze your eyebrows. Repeated over-plucking can result in areas where hair refuses to grow back, resulting in bald spots. If you have already developed bare spots in your brows, fill in the areas with a brow pencil temporarily while applying a product to regrow the hair.

Drink enough water every day for healthy looking skin. When you don’t drink enough water, your skin looks dry, dull and wrinkled. Be certain to drink 64 ounces of pure filtered water daily for the best results. To jazz up what you drink, add a splash of juice or a lemon slice to the water. Drinking enough water will keep your skin healthy.

Unless your skin is perfect, use matte blush instead of a shimmery blush. Blushes that incorporate shimmer draw attention to flaws like acne scarring, bumps and moles. However, you can make your skin look flawless with matte blushes, which cover up blemishes better.

When applying winged eyeliner, extend the line at the outer edge of your eye so that it follows the natural curve of your lower lash line. This helps it blend with the shape of your eye so that it looks more natural. The eyeliner should be thickest at the outer corner of your eye and then taper to a point at the tip of the wing.

Tone down a lipstick that is too bold or bright. A great way to make an overly pigmented shade easier on the eyes is to put some on the back of your hand, dab it with foundation, mix, and apply to lips. Your new shade should now be a better match for your tone.

If you wear your hair in a ponytail often, move the position of the ponytail around every so often to prevent hair breakage. Constant stress and friction in the same part of the hair shaft can weaken hair, but placing the elastic or rubber band in different positions prevents the same spots from being rubbed over and over.

A great tip to use when tweezing your eyebrows is to use restrain. Over plucking the brows can lead to bald patches and emaciated brows where hair only grows back irregularly. If this has happened, use a brow gel which is protein-spiked to encourage healthy regrowth and brow fillers that can shade in areas that are problems.

Smooth lotion over hair to reduce the static. If you find yourself out with nothing to use, grab the hand lotion you keep in your purse. Take a little bit and rub the palm of your hands together slightly, then run through your hair. This is a quick and easy fix.

Use lotion daily to avoid ingrown hairs. Right after finishing your shave, apply a shaving lotion. Dry skin is another common cause of ingrown hairs. Doing this will cause your ingrown hairs to fall out, and new ones won’t be formed.

Allow your hair an occasional break from the stress of hot irons and blow dryers. Flat irons, curling irons and blow-dryers all cause damage to your hair. By allowing your hair to dry naturally and avoiding those appliance, your hair will be able to recover from the damages.

If you find that your feet are dry and scaly looking and feeling, try using a petroleum jelly product to treat them. Apply a generous amount on your feet and cover them with thick socks at night before you go to bed. Your feet will absorb the moisture out of the petroleum jelly and will quickly look and feel much better.
